William Pope L. installations

Client: Kenny Schacter Rove Gallery

We have worked with the Rove gallery on both major one man shows for William Pope L. building his installations in their Hoxton square gallery.

For his first show we created a raised platform for the artist to inhabit as a performance piece, which was built between the two floors of the gallery.

For this show we created plastic wrapped walls and cornflake filled rooms.

For his second show we used the same atrium space but created a shingle clad shed underneath. When you accessed the 1st floor you could walk over the top of this shed and look down through the chimney to see a kaleidoscope showing the artists video work.

We work closely with the Rove Curators and the artist himself who is based in the states. When building art installations such as these, the relationship built between the artist and the fabricator is key.

We understand the exacting requirements of the artist and are always willing to recreate their ideas to the letter.

We understand that when it comes to art there can be no compromises and these projects are a good example of that relationship working effectively.
